Angela
M. Carini, B.S., AOBTA CP has over 15 years experience working in
and with the body. She is a graduate of a 600 hour shiatsu program
at Ohashiatsu Chicago, an affiliate of the Ohashi Institute in New
York, and has completed a 150 hour Shiatsu Teacher Training under
the tutelage of
Matthew Sweigart, author of Touching Ki and founder
of Ohashiatsu Chicago. Angela has recieved the status of
Certified Practitioner in Zen Shiatsu by the American Organization
of Bodywork Therapies of Asia. She is currently in private practice
at her offices in Evanston and Chicago. Angela has taught Shiatsu
at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Chicago campus and
currently teaches at
Zen Shiatsu Chicago. She has authored a
beginning level Shiatsu video entitled
The Art of Shiatsu.
Angela
brings extensive kinesthetic and somatic knowledge to the field of
bodywork having completed a Bachelors in Dance from Northwestern
University. She is a certified pilates mat and equipment instructor
through the Physicalmind Institute and has over 1,500 hours of teaching
experince. She currently teaches pilates at
Essence Pilates and
Align Studio. Angela is continuing her studies by pursuing her
Masters in Oriental Medicine at National University of Health Sciences.
